The Peters Family
The Peters Family
The Peters family was originally a New England family. The first Peters in North America was Andrew Peters who was born in England and died December 13, 1713 in Andover, Massachusetts. After the American Revolution, the Peters family ends up in Ernestown, Ontario, a town that was formed by Americans who had been made refugees for their loyalty to the British Crown. Dorothy’s parents, Orval and Anna Laurel Peters, were from Ernestown originally and Dorothy was born in nearby Napanee.
